Where To Find Spore Spewers

Spore Spewers show up on Challenging difficulty or higher, and they count as an Enemy Tactical Objective instead of an enemy themselves or a regular, designated objective.
Spore Spewers don’t have their own symbol on the map, but they still show up as a red danger zone, and placing a ping on them will designate them as an objective instead of a normal ping.
The telltale sign of a Spore Spewer is a large, localized area full of thick, yellow-gray smoke that almost completely obscures your vision.
How To Destroy Spore Spewers
Spore Spewers have a health pool similar to medium-sized enemies, like Brood Commanders and Berserkers, and any Support Weapon is capable of destroying them in a few shots.
The real danger of Spore Spewers comes from how much they obscure your vision, making it easy for Terminids of pretty much any size to sneak up on you, especially Stalkers and Chargers.
Spore Spewers will also be defended by a handful of Terminids such as Scavengers, Warriors, and often one to two Brood Commanders, and while they’ll often immediately call in a Bug Breach, it is very rare for a nest to be near one and cause additional issues.
If you see a Spore Spewer, the best tactic is to set up a Sentry to protect yourself, then hit it from medium range with a Support Weapon like a Grenade Launcher, Railgun, or Autocannon.
You can also use more localized Stratagems like the Orbital Precision Strike to destroy Spore Spewers, but it’s better to save your Stratagems for the Terminids themselves.
A few direct shots can destroy the Spore Spewer, and this will clear up the gas cloud from the surrounding area, as well as remove the danger zone from your map.
